the designs are quite large and will work for most sizes of door mats, I recommend the Traffic Master mats from Home depot..

I like to open my stapler and staple the image in place..and then lay the mat on a thin piece of plywood so I can move the whole thing at once without anything shifting

pretty firm pressure
